Operations executive with 20 years of international experience in the wind turbine industry. Solid experience in logistics, manufacturing, planning, procurement and supply chain management. Can operate both strategically and operationally with the ability to shape the operations agenda to support the business objectives. Proven track record in running restructuring projects,  major cost-out projects, building and leading successful cross-cultural teams

Lars brings with him 20 years of senior management experience from the global renewable sector with focus on the wind industry – both onshore as well as offshore.

Lars holds a MBA in “international management” and has through his career worked in both privately hold, private equity  as well as public listed companies with turnovers ranging from 0,5 BN Euro up to 5,0 BN Euro.

Since joining the wind industry in 1995 Lars has been working at a senior management level globally within logistics, operations, manufacturing, procurement and operations. He has actively participated in 3 wind OEM mergers and has been deeply involved in a number of M&A’s primarily focussed on downstream companies in the value chain.

Lars has worked for Vestas Wind Systems  (previously Micon and NEG Micon) for more than 10 years, he spend more than 6 years with the Suzlon Group ( REPower & Senvion ) and was, for more than 2 years, part of the senior management team at Nordex which successfully restructured the company.

From being responsible for factories in Americas, Asia and Europe to setting up local supply chain to meet local content regulations in various countries  combined with introduction of International Procurement Offices in Asia, Lars has in most aspects of a global business been actively involved in all parts of the operational value chain. 

After stepping down from his position as COO at Senvion in 2015 he has worked as an independent consultant for a number of component suppliers in the wind industry as well as taken on an interim management position in a private equity owned company in Switzerland.

Lars is a Danish citizen but has lived and worked outside Denmark for the last 10 years.  Lars lives and works out of Hamburg, Germany.

In his spare time, Lars is a passionate runner and has completed a large number of half-marathons and marathons since he took up running around 10 years ago after a long soccer career. In addition to that, Lars is very fond of sport in general and especially soccer where he follows the major leagues in Europe very closely.
